Fulfilment update

Hi all!

Quick update to say that the toolboxes are en route to Exalted Funeral's headquarters in the US via ship. They are in the mdidle of the Atlantic. They should reach their destination in about 12 days. We expect the final stages of fulfilment (i.e. shipping to backers) to start in early August at this point. Hopefully, everthing will go smoothly now, but it's always a bit of gamble with US customs. We shall keep you all informed.

Fulfilment

This means we are officially moving on to the Fulfilment Stage. IT'S GOING TO TAKE A WHILE! Please bear with us. The toolboxes will be ready to ship next week, then they will be headed both to our warehouse in Portugal (for European and Worldwide distribution) and to Exalted Funeral in the US (for NA and UK distribution). We expect it may take up to one month for them to reach the USA. From that point on, we will start the final stages of fulfilment and get the toolboxes to you all. 

  •  Locking Addresses: addresses will be locked when the toolboxes arrive in the US - or a week before give or take. You'll still be able to update your address for about a month. 
  •  Digital Fulfilment: we will send digital rewards after locking the addresses, closer to physical fulfilment date.

Locking orders

Moving forward!

So it appears the toolboxes will be ready in a couple of weeks (!), which means it's time to lock orders and charge cards:

  • Locking orders: orders will be locked on Thursday. if you want to adjust your cart on BackerKit, now's the time. 
  • Charging cards: cards will be charged on Friday. the charge will appear under Exalted Funeral, so please bear that in mind.
  • Store: BackerKit store will be closed on Friday as well.
  • Addresses: these will be locked in mid to late June. once production is done, a big container will ship to Exalted Funeral in the USA. it should take 3 weeks to arrive there. fulfilment will begin some time after that (probably july). 

We will post an update showing a complete toolbox once we receive them. Most likely in a couple of weeks from now. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

Heading Towards Production

Here we go!

We are pleased to report that Kevin has wrapped up all of the hexes and we are ready to steer the Toolbox towards production. We are preparing the print-ready files right now - it won't take long, since all there was left was pasting the new hexes onto the appropriate files. This means production will officially start next week. We expect our printing partners to be able to deliver by the end of May, but sometimes unexpected things happen (like paper shortage, or one of the components was misprinted, or the colours didn't come out as intended) and delays occur. Let's see how smooth the process is. If all goes well, we expect fulfilment to start in June or July. The good news is we already have tons of experience with Undying Sands and Bottled Sea, so we will def use that to our advantage.

BackerKit Survey

This is a remimder for backers to answer the survey. As we speak, 93% of backers have replied. This is a really good number given the amount of backers we had, but it also means there's 7% of you who haven't replied yet. Please do. Otherwise it'll be impossible to send you your rewards.

Hex Omnivorous website is LIVE

Dedicated Website

Quick update to share with you all our new dedicated website: HEXOMNIVOROUS.COM. The website contains descriptions, purchase links, images and resources for our hex product series alone. In the future, it will also host printable resources and online generators for use with the Toolbox and others. But, most importantly, it includes the new THIRD PARTY LICENCE for independent creators. Anyone is free to create content for the Toolbox, Undying Sands or Bottled Sea settings using the compatibility logos provided.

To celebrate, we are launching an ITCH CREATORS' JAM. Submit any content for either the Undying Sands or Bottled Sea: adventures, dungeons, extra factions, encounters, vehicles, weather tables, NPCs, or whatever you can think of.  You may sell your submissions for whatever price you find reasonable, we won't take a cut. Please adhere to the Third Party Licence linked above or you may be disqualified. ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE LINKED UP IN THE NEW WEBSITE - unless you tell us you don't want it.

Backerkit Surveys

As of today, 90% of backers responded to the survey. There are VERY LIMITED quantities of Bottled Sea left: about twenty of them - if you're on the fence, now's the time. They won't be reprinted anytime soon. If you haven't responded to the survey yet, you still have time, but please do it. If you don't find your survey link, please let us know. 

Production

We are waiting for Kevin Cannon to wrap the last files. It shouldn't take long. The boxes (just the boxes)  are heading for production soon; the cloth bags are already in; the wooden components will arrive in about two weeks. So it's just a matter of pasting the hexes into the appropriate files once we have them, and this is off to production. Please bear with us.
